Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir met with Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), he also held separate meetings with Iranian Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. He met Major General Ali Abdullahi, Commander of Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters.
The meetings focused on establishing lasting peace in the region and on the regional security situation. Special attention was given to diplomatic relations and joint initiatives to promote peace and stability.
According to the ISPR, the Field Marshal thanked the Iranian leadership and people for their warm hospitality and conveyed the best wishes of the President of Pakistan, the Prime Minister, and the Pakistani people to the Iranian leadership.
The ISPR said the visit reflects Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to a peaceful resolution of the Middle East conflict and its efforts to promote peace.
