Breaking news from Dubai! If you’re planning to apply for a UAE entry permit, be prepared to include a copy of your passport’s external cover page.
According to Amer Centres in Dubai and various typing centres in both Dubai and Abu Dhabi, a recent directive from the immigration departments has introduced this new requirement.
Staff members at these centres informed Gulf News that they’ve received an official circular this month. The circular specifies that the passport’s external cover page is now a compulsory part of all entry permit applications. This update applies universally to every nationality and across all visa categories, affecting new entry permit applications.
News source has contacted the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) and the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai (GDRFA Dubai) for an official comment.
