Uzair Baloch acquitted in 2013 murder case
Session court of in Karachi has acquitted Uzair Baloch, a gangster who went on to become one of the main faces of the Lyari gang war, in a 2013 murder case.
A case was registered against Baloch and seven people after a man, named Noshad, was kidnapped and later killed in Kalri on March 13, 2013.
During the hearing of the case, defense lawyer argued that no eyewitness appeared before the court. The police found the dead body and didn’t identify the slain person, he added.
The counsel further said that police nominated his client in the case on political grounds, who didn’t commit it.
Earlier on January 7, a local court also acquitted Lyari gang warlord Uzair Baloch in two cases of police encounter and attempted murder.
Additional District and Sessions Judge South in the jail complex heard two cases of police encounter and attempted murder against Lyari gang warlord Uzair Baloch.
The court granted Uzair Baloch’s plea for acquittal in two cases as prosecution could not present evidence against Uzair Baloch.
