In a gripping operation on Thursday, security forces eliminated seven terrorists linked to the Indian-backed group, Fitna al Khwarij, in two separate confrontations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as announced by the ISPR.
The military’s media wing revealed that on the night of May 28-29, terrorists, supported by Indian interests, launched an assault on a security forces check post in the Shawal region of North Waziristan district. Armed with determination and precision, our troops successfully repelled this attack, resulting in the demise of six of the assailants.
Amidst the fierce exchange of gunfire, the courageous Lieutenant Daniyal Ismail, a 24-year-old from Mardan District, heroically led his men and valiantly laid down his life, becoming a martyr alongside three of his brave comrades.
These soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice included Naib Subedar Kashif Raza, aged 42, hailing from Chakwal District, Lance Naik Fiaqat Ali, aged 35, from Haripur District, and Sepoy Muhammad Hameed, aged 26, from Abbottabad District.
