The opposition leader in the Senate will be from PML-N : Maryam Nawaz
Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s daughter Maryam Nawaz has said that the Leader of the Opposition in the Senate will be from PML-N. In principle, all parties will abide by this decision.
In a media briefing with Maulana Fazlur Rehman in Lahore, Maryam Nawaz said that a decision has been taken in principle, the opposition leader in the Senate will be from PML-N, there is no room for change after someone’s defeat or victory.
She said that efforts are being made to keep all the parties of PDM united.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman, head of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), announced the appearance of workers of opposition coalition parties on the occasion of Maryam Nawaz’s appearance in the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
The PDM chief added that the decision of the PPP’s Central Executive Committee (CEC) would be awaited.
He said that he would settle matters with the PPP in a very cordial atmosphere.
Talking about Prime Minister Imran Khan, Maryam Nawaz said that Imran Khan’s future is not linked to the opposition alliance but to his own performance.
The PML-N vice-president added that the PDM would never allow the government to come out of the dead end.
She said that Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) and PML-N can hold large rallies and protests on their own, we do not need anyone else on this issue.
Maryam Nawaz denied reports of differences with her cousin Hamza Shehbaz. She said that baseless reports of Hamza Shehbaz and my differences being spread, it is a shameful act.
Commenting on the matter, Maryam Nawaz further said that the only thing I can say about those who spread false news about the difference between me and Hamza Shahbaz is that “Allah’s curse is on the liars”.
He said that Hamza Shahbaz was also present in the meeting with Maulana Fazlur Rehman. We considered each and every point of the opposition movement together.
