More sanctions from August 31 for ignoring Covid-19 vaccination : Asad Umar

Asad Umar, head of the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), has given a deadline to those who have not been vaccinated, saying that more bans are going to be imposed from August 31 on those who do not get vaccinated after August 31. They will be not allowed to work after August 31.

In a press conference with Dr Faisal Sultan, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan for Health, Asad Umar said that the highest vaccination rate was 56 per cent in Islamabad, while the lowest was in Sindh and Karachi. 

The head of NCOC said that it has been more than a year, we are living with corona virus, great work has been done for corona SOPs in Ramadan, Sindh government is watching corona very diligently.

He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that we cannot close the country, vaccination will be mandatory for air travelers from August 1, at least one dose should be taken by travelling passengers.

Asad Umar said that teachers will also have to be vaccinated, children’s health cannot be compromised, teachers who have not been vaccinated cannot go to school after August 1, bus drivers, conductors will have to be vaccinated. 

“He said that the plan has been formulated keeping in view the data and experience. The epidemic comes down as we push hard however it increases when we relaxes the restrictions, vaccination is the solution if you want to get out of the corona epidemic completely,” he said.

The head of NCOC said that 3 days ago, 680,000 vaccinations were given, which was a record, the vaccination campaign in the country is going on at a rapid pace, the number of vaccinations is increasing day by day, the better performance includes all the units of the federation.

Asad Umar said that all the provinces had set new records of vaccination yesterday. Corona can be avoided by implementing SOPs. The only solution is to take precaution.

He said that drivers and conductors who take children to school should be vaccinated before August 31. Law enforcement officials should also be vaccinated by August 31. The process of vaccination has been made easier.

Asad Umar said that those working in hotels, restaurants and marriage halls have also been made vaccinated. Those who do not get vaccinated will not be able to work in hotels, restaurants and marriage halls after August 31.
