Prominent poet Naqqash Kazmi dies of Corona in Karachi

Prominent Urdu poet Naqqash Kazmi, who won the Presidential Award, passed away due to corona.

Funeral prayers of Naqqash Kazmi will be offered at 5 pm at Bab-ul-Alam Mosque, North Nazimabad. He will be buried in Wadi e Hussain.

Naqqash Kazmi was born on February 22, 1944 in Junepur, India.

He did his Masters in Linguistics, Urdu Literature and Political Science.

Naqqash Kazmi was the author of “Rang-e-Safar”, “Daman-e-Gul” and “Miras”, while his collection Kalam was published under the names of Chandni and Samandar.

Leading Urdu poet Naqqash Kazmi was also awarded the Presidential Medal of Excellence.

The late was a dynamic personality, he also played an active role in Unicorns and Arts Council Karachi.
