Petrol prices hike by Rs2.00 per litre and diesel by Rs1.44 per litre
The federal government has increased the prices of petroleum products. According to the Finance Ministry, after an increase of Rs 2 per liter in petrol price, the new price will be Rs 112.69.
After an increase of Rs 1.44 per liter in the price of high speed diesel, the new price will be fixed at Rs 113.99 per liter.
The price of kerosene has been increased by Rs 3.86 per liter, after which the new price will be Rs 85.75 paisa per liter With the increase in the price of diesel oil by Rs 3.72 per liter, the new price will be Rs 83.40 per liter.
The Finance Ministry said that the government had given a subsidy of Rs 252 billion on petroleum products during the current financial year and this subsidy was given by receiving less petroleum development levy while the petroleum development levy was fixed at Rs 30 per liter in the budget.
According to the notification, the new prices of petroleum products have been applied from 12 noon.
