Petroleum Dealers Association Abdul Sami Khan Group has announced a strike from yesterday.
Chairman Petroleum Dealers Association Abdul Sami Khan says that meetings were held with Finance Minister, Chairman FBR, Chairman OGRA, but no result came out in the negotiations with the government.
He said that there will be a strike, businesses cannot run with so many taxes, pumps across the country will start running dry from tonight.
Chairman Petroleum Dealers Association added that there will be no negotiations until the government accepts the demands.
Abdul Sami Khan said that an advance tax of 0.5 percent was imposed on dealers in the budget, and repeatedly demanded the government to withdraw the tax.
Chairman Petroleum Dealers Association said that the demands are not being accepted, there is no other option except strike.
Vice President Petroleum Dealers Association Punjab Majid Ansari said that there will be a strike on July 5, negotiations between the association and the government had failed.
On the other hand, Punjab leaders of the association have expressed reservations about the strike. The leader of Petroleum Dealers Association Punjab says that there is a possibility of a partial strike in Punjab.
