PDM nominates Yousuf Raza Gilani as joint candidate for Senate chairman
The Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) has nominated former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani as its joint candidate for the chairmanship of the Senate.The decision to nominate Yousuf Raza Gilani as chairman Senate taken at the PDM summit.
Speaking on the occasion, Yousuf Raza Gilani said, “Congratulations to all the parties of PDM. I name this victory after them. Your brilliant strategy before the election had made the rulers run. There is trembling in the houses”
Yousuf Raza Gilani said that the rulers are not digesting this defeat, the victory of PDM in all by-elections is in fact the victory of democracy.
He said that in order to win the Senate election, Imran Khan gave funds of up to Rs 50 crore to the members of the Assembly. I became the Prime Minister with 242 votes, Imran Khan became the Prime Minister with 4 votes.
Yousuf Raza Gilani said that homework is necessary before the long march, we cannot afford failure, I am a political activist, I will fight and I will fight till the end.
Earlier, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that success has a hundred fathers and failure is an orphan. I congratulate all of you on this success.
Addressing the PDM summit in Islamabad, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that if we had boycotted the by-elections and the Senate elections, imagine where we would have stood.
