PDM to hold protest on Jan 19 against delay in PTI foreign funding case decision
PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb said on Wednesday that the party, under the umbrella of the 10-party opposition alliance Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), would take out rallies from different areas of Rawalpindi and Islamabad on Jan 19 that would merge into one big rally before heading towards the office of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in the capital.
According to the sources, the opposition parties may convert protest into sit-in, if the Commission failed to announce the final verdict of the foreign finding case against the ruling party.
Vice President Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Maryam Nawaz has criticized Prime Minister Imran Khan and said that the selected, who was falsely declared Sadiq and Amin, has admitted his guilt in the foreign funding case.
In a tweet on Thursday evening, Maryam Nawaz wrote that Imran Khan, who touts fake credentials of Sadiq and Amin, has admitted his guilt by saying that it was not him but his appointed agents who committed the unlawful act.
The PML-N Vice President said that the matter, which was in limbo for seven years, has finally been resolved and only the written decision is awaited.
In her tweet, she also alluded to PDM’s planned protest before the office of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on January 19.
Meanwhile, the main petitioner of the case Akbar Sher Baber told the Nation that November 14, 2020 was the sixth anniversary of the filing of the PTI Foreign Funding Case. He said that the case remained pending before ECP despite over seventy (70) hearings.
