Pakistan expresses staunch support for Kashmiris on Solidarity Day

Pakistan is observing Kash­mir Solidarity Day on Friday with public rallies being observed across the country to express wholehearted support of the Pakistani nation to the just struggle of Kashmiri people for their inalienable right to self-determination under United Nations resolutions.

On the occasion, Prime Minister Imran Khan will address a public gathering at Kotli in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

Earlier, President Arif Alvi also addressed a session of the AJK Legislative Assembly in Muzaffarabad. He also led a solidarity march alongside AJK PM Raja Farooq Haider and AJK President Sardar Masood Khan.

In his message on Kashmir Solidarity Day, Prime Minister Imran Khan reiterated on Friday that Pakistan stands united and resolute with the Kashmiris in their legitimate struggle for self-determination.

In a series of tweets, the prime minister highlighted the atrocities and hardships faced by the people of Kashmir due to Indian brutalities during the military siege and assured them of Pakistan’s unflinching support.

“On #KashmirSolidarityDay, I want to reiterate that Pakistan stands united & resolute with the Kashmiris in their legitimate struggle for self-determination, which has been reaffirmed by the international community in numerous UNSC resolutions,” the PM tweeted.

Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that it is time to end the human tragedy in Kashmir as the nation observes Kashmir Solidarity Day today.

In a statement, Army Chief Gen Bajwa saluted the Kashmiris for their valiant struggle, braving grave atrocities, human rights violations and a lockdown under Indian occupation.

“Time to end this human tragedy and resolve #Kashmir issue as per aspirations of people of J&K & UN resolutions,” COAS Bajwa said.
