
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir profoundly praised the efforts of Overseas Pakistanis, eloquently describing them as ambassadors of the nation as he addressed the First Overseas Pakistanis Convention held in the vibrant city of Islamabad today.
The esteemed general reaffirmed the Pakistan Army’s profound connection with overseas Pakistanis and highlighted the nation’s remarkable resilience and promising future. In his stirring speech, the COAS lauded the contributions of expatriates, recognizing them as a vital national asset.
“To those who spread the idea of brain drain, they must understand that this is not a loss, but rather a brain gain, with overseas Pakistanis being the finest example,” he declared. General Asim expressed being profoundly moved by the heartfelt emotions of Pakistanis living abroad and assured them that the sentiments of their homeland are even stronger.
In addressing national challenges and security, General Munir delivered a resolute message to terrorists. He stated, ‘Pakistan’s enemies really believe that a mere handful of terrorists can shape the destiny of our nation,’ and further emphasized that ten generations of these militants can do no harm to Balochistan or Pakistan.
Reinforcing the Army’s unwavering commitment, he passionately stated, “As long as the courageous citizens of this nation stand by the Pakistan Army, your valiant forces will effortlessly overcome any obstacle.” He urged the nation to cherish Pakistan’s divine gifts and abundant natural riches, declaring, “Allah has blessed Pakistan with a wealth of resources, for which we must endlessly express gratitude.”
Conveying a united message of advancement, General Munir proclaimed, “Today, we send a resounding message together: ‘Whoever obstructs Pakistan’s progress, we will collaboratively eliminate that hurdle.’”
Addressing the overseas Pakistani diaspora, the Chief of Army Staff declared, “Regardless of your residing country, always remember that your heritage springs from a distinguished society, ideology, and civilization. As Muslims and Pakistanis, we confront adversity fearlessly. We have never, and will never, succumb to challenges.”
Reasserting Pakistan’s foundational vision, General Munir articulated, “We strive to elevate Pakistan to the pinnacle envisioned by Quaid-e-Azam. Hold your head high with pride, as you are not merely citizens of any nation — you represent a formidable and illustrious country.” He also reflected on key foreign policy ideologies, resolutely asserting, “Kashmir was, is, and forever will be the lifeblood of Pakistan,” along with expressing unity with oppressed communities across the globe: “The hearts of Pakistanis continually resonate in solidarity with the Muslims of Gaza.”
