LHC approves Maryam Nawaz’s protective bail till April 12

The Lahore High Court (LHC) has granted interim bail to PML-N vice-president Maryam Nawaz till April 12 and restrained the NAB from arresting her.The court granted bail to Maryam Nawaz in exchange for two sureties of one million rupees.

On behalf of Maryam Nawaz, advocates Azam Nazir Tarar and Amjad Pervez gave arguments in Lahore High Court.

Petitioner Maryam Nawaz said that NAB has summoned her in two inquiries on March 26. NAB wants to arrest the petitioner under government pressure. NAB is targeting political opponents at the behest of the government.

Maryam Nawaz says in the text of the petition that NAB can arrest the petitioner on March 26 to save Imran Khan’s government. NAB has started an inquiry regarding 1500 kanals of land. I want to be part of investigation but there is fear of being arrested for political reasons.

In the petition, Maryam Nawaz has requested the Lahore High Court to grant interim bail.

Talking to media in Lahore, Maryam Nawaz said that now Imran Khan’s government is in trouble, his boat is sinking, if Imran Khan was not going home, Maryam Nawaz would not have needed to call NAB.

Maryam Nawaz has said that she has exposed them by enduring revenge. The NAB will not be given a chance to save Imran Khan’s sinking ship. They have their own strategy, we have our own strategy.

“There are some common goals that we have in the PDM together. There are ups and downs in politics,” she added. There are no differences.

Talking about the Pakistan Democratic Movement, she said that the PDM would decide its own course of action, no one else is involved in this, PDM will make decisions according to the expectations of the people.

Maryam Nawaz said that I am the daughter of Nawaz Sharif, I know how to maintain the politics of tolerance and relations, everyone is running NAB except NAB.
