NAB court indicts Shehbaz Sharif, Hamza Shahbaz in Ramzan Sugar Mills case
Accountability court on Thursday has indicted Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shahbaz in Ramzan Sugar Mills reference.
During the hearing headed by judge Amjad Nazir Chaudhry, both the accused pleaded not guilty in the reference and their lawyer requested time for case preparation which was rejected by the court.
PML-N’s lawyer Advocate Amjad Pervez sought time for preparation of the arguments.
“We need some time to prepare for the arguments,” Advocate Amjad Pervez said.
“You had six months to prepare for the case. We have fixed this case today to indict the accused”, court replied while instructing the lawyer to complete his arguments.
After the completion of arguments, court indicted Shehbaz Sharif and Hamza Shahbaz in Ramzan Sugar Mills case. Both accused pleaded not guilty in courtroom.
The verdict was pronounced Justice Amjad Nazir Chaudhry of the accountability court.
