Mushtaq Raisani sentenced to 10 years in prison

Quetta accountability court sentences former Balochistan finance secretary Mushtaq Raisani to 10 years in prison.

Quetta accountability court announces reserved verdict in Balochistan mega corruption case.

The court sentenced former finance secretary Mushtaq Raisani to 10 years in prison, while confiscating all of Mushtaq Raisani’s assets.

The Quetta accountability court sentenced Khalid Lango, a former finance adviser, to two years and two months in prison in a mega-corruption case, while acquitting former local government secretary Abdul Basit and former local council secretary Faisal Jamal.

The court said in its order that Mir Khalid Lango’s sentence would start from the time of his arrest during his trial.

Its pertinent to mention that former finance secretary Mushtaq Raisani was arrested on May 6, 2016 in a mega-corruption case.More than Rs. 64 crore in cash and jewelery were recovered from his house.

Contractor Sohail Majeed and his brother, arrested in the same case, were released after a plea bargain.
