Multan Sultans lifts the 6th PSL trophy after beating Peshawar Zalmi in final

Multan Sultans defeated Peshawar Zalmi by 47 runs in the final of the sixth edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL).

In the final played at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, Peshawar Zalmi won the toss and invited Multan Sultans to bat. Multan gave Peshawar a target of 207 to win.

In pursuit of the target, Peshawar Zalmi scored 159 runs in the allotted 20 overs. Shoaib Malik was the most prominent player for Peshawar. He scored 48 off 28 balls, including 3 sixes and 3 fours in his innings.

Kamran Akmal, Roman Powell and Sherfan Rutherford also played well, scoring 36, 23 and 18 runs respectively.

On one occasion, the match was interesting but Imran Tahir turned the tide of the match by giving away 2 runs in the 17th over, taking the wickets of Sherfan Rutherford, captain Wahab Riaz and Mohammad Imran.

For Multan Sultans, Imran Tahir took 3 wickets, Imran Khan and Blessing Mozarbani took 2 wickets each while Sohail Tanveer took one wicket.

Earlier, Multan Sultans had scored 206 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs in the final
