Independently elected senator Muhammad Abdul Qadir joins PTI

Muhammad Abdul Qadir, who contested the Senate elections as an independent, announced his joining the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), which was welcomed by Prime Minister Imran Khan.

According to details, newly elected Senator Abdul Qadir from Balochistan met Prime Minister Imran Khan. In the meeting, newly elected Senator Muhammad Abdul Qadir announced his joining PTI and reposes full confidence in the Prime Minister.

The prime minister welcomed his joining.

Defence Minister Pervaiz Khattak and PTI chief organizer Saifullah Niazi were also present in the meeting.

Muhammad Abdul Qadir was the independent candidate for the Senate election with the joint support of PTI and the Balochistan Awami Party.

The local PTI chapters had revolted against the central party leadership for awarding Senate ticket to Qadir after which the ticket was taken back and given to Syed Zahoor Agha, who later withdrew from the race.
