The pipeline supplying water to Karachi burst

According to the Water Board, the 72-inch diameter pipeline coming from Thatta to Karachi exploded due to pressure.

Engineer Water Board Iqbal Palijo said that repair of the pipeline would take three days and water supply to Gulshan-e-Hadid, Malir and other areas in Karachi would remain suspended.

Until the repairs, water supply from one pump of Dhabeji pumping station will be cut off while water supply to Karachi from other pumps will continue.
