DG ISPR, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, affirmed that the Pakistan Army has fulfilled the commitments it made to the nation. In a press conference, he declared: ‘Today, we will inform you about the actions and outcomes of Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos. This operation followed the heinous attacks that commenced on the night of May 6th and 7th, 2025, tragically resulting in the loss of innocent civilian lives, including women, children, and the elderly.’
‘Pakistan had promised justice and retribution for the abhorrent Indian military aggression and the brutal slaying of our civilians.’
Addressing the press conference, the Director General of ISPR conveyed the Pakistan armed forces’ profound appreciation for the valiant Pakistani nation. Their moral fortitude, unwavering resolve, and wholehearted support, amplified by heartfelt prayers, served as a powerful catalyst during these challenging times.

The youth of Pakistan received special acknowledgment for their pivotal role as frontline cyber warriors, staunchly defending the nation’s narrative in the digital realm. The armed forces also extended heartfelt thanks to the dynamic Pakistani media for its steadfast stance against India’s information warfare and belligerence.
Moreover, the military expressed deep gratitude to the political leaders from all parties, commending their collective resolve and unwavering support for the armed forces and for safeguarding Pakistan’s sovereignty.
*Use of Precision-Guided Long-Range Missiles
Lt Gen Chaudhry stated that the Pakistani armed forces’ responsive action against Indian aggression exemplified textbook tri-service unity and operational excellence. ‘Pakistan’s response was made possible by real-time situational awareness, advanced network-centric warfare capabilities, and seamless multi-domain operations encompassing air, land, sea, and cyberspace,’ he remarked.
The DG highlighted that synergy among all platforms enabled precision targeting, overwhelming lethality, and swift operations. ‘Precision-guided long-range missiles — Fateh-1 and Fateh-2 — were utilized by the Pakistan Army, while the Pakistan Air Force deployed highly capable long-range munitions and precision-guided weaponry. Long-range artillery units also made significant contributions to the strike package,’ he added.
Who requested ceasefire?
Answering a question during the press conference, DG ISPR refuted Indian military’s claims that Pakistan requested for ceasefire. “Let me put it on record that Pakistan never requested for a ceasefire,” he said. He said that Pakistan accepted India’s ceasefire request on the mediation of some world powers.
Pakistan Navy’s Role In Stopping India
Vice Admiral Rab Nawaz said the Pakistan Navy safeguarded the country’s maritime boundaries by keeping an Indian warship, positioned 400 nautical miles away, from advancing toward Pakistani waters. Addressing a joint press conference alongside DG ISPR Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry and PAF Air Vice Marshal Tariq Mehmood, the vice admiral said that the enemy refrained from further movement after observing the Navy’s state of readiness.
Cyber Offensives Against India
Under the Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos, Pakistan Armed Forces also carried out comprehensive and effective cyber offensives, temporarily crippling and degrading critical Indian military infrastructure and services, the DG ISPR said. “These cyber strikes targeted systems directly supporting Indian military operations and were designed to disrupt their warfighting capabilities without affecting civilian platforms,” he added.
No Indian Pilot in Pakistani Custody
Responding to a question, Lt Gen Chaudhry said that no Indian pilot was in Pakistan Army’s custody following military clashes. “I can confirm you that we do not have any pilot in custody… this is all social media chatter, this is all part of multiple sources of fake news and propaganda,” he said.
Peace in Pakistan, India Depends on Kashmir
The ISPR DG said that a durable peace in the two countries is not possible until the issue of Kashmir is resolved.
