Institutions compelled members to give ‘vote of confidence’ to prime minister : Khaqan Abbasi

PML-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has claimed that the country’s institutions forcefully asked members to give vote of confidence to the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister threatened a member absent from the House but the Speaker of the National Assembly remained silent,country can not move forward until it returns to the path of constitution and law.

Talking to media after hearing the LNG reference in the accountability court of Islamabad, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that it is the proceedings rule of the world’s parliament that house can not talk about absent members.

Shahid Khaqan said that the concern for morality in the country has ended, the opposition was threatened and abused, the speaker remained silent,he does not know how to run the house and moral values.

The PML-N leader said that members were threatened before the election of Yousuf Raza Gilani as well.

The former prime minister said that yesterday in the PDM meeting there was a discussion on how to bring the country on the right path, what is the status of this government, the whole of Pakistan knows, today the prime minister of the country is that person whose own finance minister got defeated in the house by members parliament.

Shahid Khaqan said that the government had done horse trading, who gave 70 crore in Balochistan? allocation of 50, 50 crore fund to members is not a political bribe then what else it is? the Prime Minister had given funds to every MNA by calling each of them in person. The parliamentary system in the country is paralyzed.
