On Saturday, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio communicated with Indian officials and Pakistani army chief Asim Munir, urging both nations to explore avenues for de-escalation, according to the State Department.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar also said that military action has ceased, but underlined that India’s uncompromising stance against terrorism would not change.
