Talking to media in Lahore, Maryam Nawaz said that Asim Saleem Bajwa has no role in the ministry of information.

Earlier, on September 3, Lt Gen Bajwa had announced that he would resign from the post of SAPM, but would continue serving as the chairman of CPEC Authority.
“I want to focus fully on CPEC projects,” he said in television interviews. “CPEC projects are the country’s future,” he added. He said that he would submit his resignation to Prime Minister Imran Khan. “I hope the prime minister will allow me to dedicate my full attention to CPEC projects.”
Asim Bajwa’s decision to resign came shortly after he issued a detailed rebuttal to the allegations of owning offshore businesses levelled against him and his family.
