Fed not allows to add KMC tax in K-Electric bill,Karachi Green Line to start from October 2021

Federal has refused to approve collection of KMC tax through K-Electric bill,Federal Minister Asad Umar said that he will not allow KMC to collect tax through electricity bill.

Sindh Governor Imran Ismail said in this regard that the collection of taxes in the bills will be an additional burden on the people.

Sindh Governor Imran Ismail suggested another way to collect the tax.

In this regard, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said that talks have been held with the federal authorities for collection of tax on electricity bills and they want to get KMC on its feet.

Federal Minister Asad Umar has given good news to the people of Karachi that the green line will be opened with 40 buses by the end of October.

Speaking at a press conference in Karachi with Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Haider Zaidi, Planning Minister Asad Umar said that the rest of the work will be completed in the next 1 month.

He said that 40 buses for the Green Line project would reach Karachi port by next week, drivers would be recruited for the project, while the Green Line would be opened with 40 buses by the end of October.

Asad Umar said that 5 projects of the federal government are underway in Karachi, 60 km roads will be constructed in the city and the work of removing encroachments in Mahmoodabad has been completed.

The Federal Minister said that the Karachi Circular Railway project is close to my heart, for which a 29 km road will be constructed above the ground.

He further said that Prime Minister Imran Khan would lay the foundation stone of the infrastructure section of the Circular Railway before September 30.

Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar also said that private companies would be invited to run the circular train.
