Not us, the political family of Lahore has been ‘selected’, Bilawal Bhutto
PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that blood running across in his veins could not be ‘selected’ , it is the political family of Lahore with history of being ‘selected’.
Bilawal Bhutto expressed these views in a conversation with media after meeting Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Sirajul Haq in Mansura, Lahore, in response to a question on Opposition Alliance (PDM).
“Whose idea was it to link the long march with resignations? Our position is that Yousuf Raza Gilani has won the Senate election,” he said.
The PPP chairman further said that as far as the Leader of the Opposition is concerned, according to the democratic tradition, whoever has a majority has the right, PDM is necessary for the restoration of democracy in the country.
He said that if he had to talk about the vice president of PML-N, he would have asked the vice president of his party to talk. If the opposition parties are not united, then Imran Khan will benefit.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also said that there is no ‘selected’ blood in our veins, the demand for accountability without any discrimination is part of our manifesto and we stand by this demand.
He said that the manner in which Maryam Nawaz has been summoned has opened the door of criticism on NAB, the current situation in Punjab and National Assembly and is prime for mistrust.
The PPP chairman said that our position is that we should give tough time inside and outside the house.
