2023 election to be held according to new census : Asad Umar

Federal Minister Asad Umar has announced that the 2023 elections will be held on the  basis of new census and work on the census will start after the approval of the Council of Common Interests.

Addressing a press conference in Karachi along with Maritime Minister Ali Zaidi, Planning Minister Asad Umar said that the census has been a major problem in Karachi.

The Federal Minister said that for the first time in history, a census would be conducted using technology, which would include all stakeholders, and the new census would be completed in 18 months.

He said that a year ago Prime Minister Imran Khan had announced a historic package for Karachi, the green line project for Karachi has been completed, the rest of the work will be completed in the next one month.
